NACADA Webinar: 'Advising Strategies for Students on Academic Probation'
The next National Academic Advising Association webinar for the spring semester is "Advising Strategies for Students on Academic Probation" at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, in the K-State Student Union's Cottonwood Room.
Discussion in this webinar will address:
• What can happen when chronically struggling students are given another chance.
• Maximizing the use of an early alert system through advisor outreach.
• Individualizing an academic probation program through institutional partnerships and selective technology systems.
The moderator is Joy Cox, chair of association's Probation/Dismissal/Reinstatement Issues Interest Group. Panelists are Kristin Lively, assistant director of graduate and undergraduate programs, School of Public and Environmental Affairs, Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis; Kelly Reddick, academic advisor, East Carolina University; Julie Preece, clinical professor, Brigham Young University; and Cynthia Wong, educational psychologist and assistant clinical professor, Brigham Young University.
