Art science talks continue in Willard Hall

The next Leonardo Art Science Evening Rendezvous, a national program of evening gatherings that bring artists and scientists together for informal presentations and conversation with an audience, will be from 6-9 p.m. March 5 in 114 Willard Hall and will feature the following distinguished speakers:
- Stacy Hutchinson, professor of environmental and ecological engineering, will present "Greening the Greyscape: Functional Lands in a Dysfunctional Landscape."
- Kimberly With, professor of landscape ecology and conservation biology, will present "Fractal Landscapes in Experimental Ecological Design."
- Carlos Castellanos, assistant professor of art, will present "Biopoiesis: Cybernetics, Art & Ambiguity."
- Eva Horne, assistant director of the Konza Prairie Biological Station and instructor of biology, will present "An Introduction to Ecological Research in the Tallgrass Prairie."
The LASERs are a national program of evening gatherings that bring artists and scientists together for informal presentations and conversation with an audience. Leonardo/ISAST, the DX Media Program and K-State invite you to a meeting of the Leonardo Art/Science community. The event is free and open to the public. The agenda includes some presentations of art/science projects, news from the audience, and time for casual socializing/networking.

The K-State Leonardo Art Science Evening Rendezvous series is co-sponsored by the DX Media Program, Kansas State University art department and Leonardo International Society for the Arts, Science and Technology. The rendezvous foster community and discussion around the intersection of art and science, serving as a platform for the dynamic cross-disciplinary conversations necessary to generate innovative ideas and perspectives. The K-State series is chaired by Castellanos.
