University Advising Committee announces spring grant recipients
The University Advising Committee has selected Daralyn Gordon Arata, pre-law; Kelly Briggs, education; Doris W. Carroll, education; Angelique Courbou, College of Arts & Sciences; and Gayla Adams-Wright College of Arts & Sciences, as recipients of its spring semester Professional Development Grants. These grants support participation in advising-related academic and professional conferences. Congratulations to this semester's recipients.
These five recipients will participate in the Northeast Association of Pre-Law Advisors 42nd annual conference in New York City, the National Academic Advising Association Summer Institute in Colorado Springs, the National Academic Advising Association International Conference in Melbourne, Australia, and the Student Affairs Professionals in Higher Education National Conference in New Orleans.
Special thanks are due to all who applied and to the selection committee: Leena Chakrabarti, Brad Cunningham, Tanya Gonzalez and Carla Jones. Thanks also to the National Academic Advising Association for its ongoing support and encouragement, and to the Office of the Provost and the Office of the Vice President for Student Life for directing Student Success funds in support of the University Advising Committee.
