All-University Open House Farm to Fork 5K on Saturday
Time is running out to sign-up for the K-State Open House 5K.
Start the morning of the All-University Open House off right by running in the first Farm to Fork 5K race, hosted by the K-State Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow. The race will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 11, in front of Waters Hall on the K-State's Manhattan campus. The 5K is in conjunction with the All-University Open House.
Unique to this race is the connection made between participants and their food. The race, "Connecting YOU … Farm 2 Fork 5K … to agriculture," will feature farm facts stops along the race path to highlight agricultural facts about how food is produced from farm to fork. All runners will receive a T-shirt.
Teams are $25 per person. Teams must consist of a minimum five people. Individuals may race for $30 per student and $35 per nonstudent.
Following the race an award ceremony will be at 11 am in Bosco Plaza.
