Making the most of your senior years workshop begins April 7

Submitted by Kayla Savage

Are you reaching the age where you are thinking of retirement and planning the rest of your life?

Consider the four-session workshop, "Making the Most of Your Senior Years," sponsored by UFM Community Learning Center, which will start at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, and continue for the next three Tuesdays. The workshop is $9.

The workshop is led by former and current K-State faculty Fred Newton, Dan Wilcox and Arthur Rathbun.

This four-session workshop will work toward the following outcomes:

  • Reflective planning for developing meaningful goals.
  • Developing enhanced self-awareness of our own ability to manage our stress, health and physical/mental/social activity.
  • Demonstration of self-regulation and how the mind/body connection is an intentionally learned process that can make a major difference.

Sign up by calling UFM Community Learning Center at 785-539-8763 or enroll at www.tryufm.org.
