Fred Cholick, retired president and CEO of the KSU Foundation, will be presented with the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities Experiment Station Section’s Award for Excellence in Leadership from the North Central Regional Association of Agricultural Experiment Station Directors.
Each regional association selects one person annually who has served the association, Experiment Station Committee on Organization and Policy, the Experiment Station Section, and the national land-grant system with exemplary distinction.
The association will present Cholick the award at its annual conference Nov. 15 in Indianapolis.
Cholick began his career at Kansas State University in 2004 when he was named dean of the College of Agriculture and director of K-State Research and Extension. In 2010, he became president and CEO of the KSU Foundation, whose mission is to advance Kansas State University through philanthropy. He retired from the foundation on March 31.
