Fateh receives travel award to present at Energy Conversion Congress and Expo
Fariba Fateh, doctoral candidate in electrical and computer engineering, will receive a $750 Graduate Student Council travel award to present the paper "Mitigation of torsional vibrations in the drivetrain of DFIG-based grid-connected wind turbine" at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers 2015 Energy Conversion Congress and Expo.
The paper was written by Fateh, Warren N. White, associate professor of mechanical and nuclear engineering, and Don Gruenbacher, associate professor and head of the electrical and computer engineering department.
Energy Conversion Congress and Expo is the pivotal international conference and exposition event on electrical and electromechanical energy conversion field. It brings together practicing engineers, researchers and other professionals for interactive and multidisciplinary discussions on the latest advances in various areas related to energy conversion.
