K-State Inline Hockey Club hosts third annual Border Battle for Autism
The Kansas State University Inline Hockey Club will host a fundraiser for the Autism Society-The Heartland, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, at the KC Ice Center, 19900 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas. The KC Ice Center has donated rink time and referees.
The day will begin with a family skate for the members of the Autism Society at 12:30 p.m. A youth hockey clinic, conducted by both the University of Missouri and K-State hockey clubs will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. The main event will be a preseason match between the University of Missouri and K-State. Faceoff will begin at 3 p.m. All of the proceeds generated will go to the Autism Society-The Heartland.
This is our third year working with the Mizzou club, and both clubs consider this to be one of the most worthwhile things we do each year. Email the club at hockey@k-state.edu if you have questions or need further information.
