Kansas farmers and ranchers are featured in a photo editorial this month at the William T. Kemper Art Gallery in the K-State Student Union. "Harvest of the Heartland" features work from nationally published photographer Scott Stebner.

Kansas Farm Bureau has partnered with Stebner to create a photo book celebrating Kansas farmers and ranchers. He has spent the last year shooting photos and interviewing Kansas farmers for the book. "Harvest of the Heartland" is a small selection of those photos.

The hardcover, coffee-table book tentatively titled "Kansas Farmer" will showcase the hard work and pride of Kansas producers with beautiful photos and thoughtful commentary.

"We cannot wait to share Scott's work with a larger community," says Meagan Cramer, director of communications and marketing for Kansas Farm Bureau. "People are going to enjoy the faces and stories of these hardworking Kansas families."

The show will run through Sept. 30 and the gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. A weekend showing also will be available after noon Saturday, Sept. 19.

Kansas Farm Bureau represents grassroots agriculture. Established in 1919, this nonprofit advocacy organization supports farm families who earn their living in a changing industry.
