Stuttering support group meets Sept. 17

Submitted by Kristin Pelczarski

Are you a person who stutters? If you stutter, you are not alone. Join us for a stuttering support group meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Kansas State University Speech and Hearing Center in 214 Campus Creek Complex. Meetings are every third Thursday of the month.

People who stutter often experience physical tension and struggle in their speech muscles, as well as embarrassment, anxiety, and fear about speaking. There are many resources available for people who stutter, including support groups. At meetings you will be able to meet other people who stutter, share your experiences with stuttering, practice your speaking skills, and work on moving forward with dignity and respect.

If you or someone you love stutters, please consider joining us. Contact Kristin Pelczarski at kpelczar@k-state.edu with any questions.
