Volunteer for the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy Study
Marriage and family therapy program researchers are looking for participants with symptoms of depression who are interested in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or EMDR, therapy.
Those who meet the criteria for the study will be invited to five consecutive weeks of therapy sessions of two sessions a week. Brain activity will be monitored through an EEG cap during these sessions at K-State's Family Center, College of Human Ecology, in Campus Creek Complex.
Participants will receive therapy at no cost and $30 at the one-month follow-up session. Eligible participants will be randomly assigned to either a treatment or waitlist group. If interested contact Zenova Williams at zwilliams@k-state.edu.
The K-State University Institutional Review Board has approved this research and assigned it project number 7182.
