K-State/NACADA Winter Advising Institute
Reminder: The third annual K-State/NACADA Winter Advising Mini-Institute will be from 1-4:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, in the Little Theater of the K-State Student Union. The focus will be advising transfer students.
Thanks to support from the National Academic Advising Association, we will feature national transfer student expert Tom Grites, assistant provost at Stockton University in New Jersey. Among his many achievements and accolades, Grites is one of the founding members as well as a two-time president of the National Academic Advising Association.
The Winter Advising Institute also will feature K-State transfer student experts Bill Disberger and Deana Core. Participants will come away better informed about the many challenges facing transfer students both nationally and in Kansas.
All members of the K-State community are welcome. Refreshments will be served. For more information, please contact Steve Dandaneau 785-532-1097 or Carla Jones 785-532-7305, co-chairs of the University Advising Committee.
