Maximize your Financial Aid Workshop

Submitted by Cal Boren

Students are encouraged to attend the annual Maximize your Financial Aid Workshop from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, in the K-State Student Union's Flint Hills Room for a chance to win two $250 scholarships.

At the workshop, students will learn how to search for scholarships, create winning scholarship applications and maximize their financial aid opportunities. Hands-on assistance also will be provided to students in submitting the K-State Scholarship Application and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA. Staff from Powercat Financial Counseling will be on hand to guide students through SALT, a free online program that helps students manage their money and student loans.

This event is sponsored by the Office of Student Financial Assistance, the Office of Non-Traditional and Veteran Student Services, and Powercat Financial Counseling.
