Geography faculty candidate to discuss playa wetlands in the High Plains

Mark Bowen, assistant professor of geography at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, will give a public seminar at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, in the K-State Student Union's Little Theater. The title of the presentation is "Impacts of Environmental Change on High Plains Playa Wetlands."

Bowen is a candidate for the earth system scientist/physical geographer faculty position in the geography department who is seeking someone to conduct cutting edge research on earth surface processes, including fluvial systems and water resources.

The presentation is sponsored by the Beta Psi chapter of Gamma Theta Upsilon and the geography department.
