Internal search for interim chief information officer and vice provost for information technology services
The Office of the Provost announces an expedited internal search for the interim chief information officer and vice provost for information technology services.
As the university's senior information technology executive, the interim CIO will provide vision and leadership to effectively integrate technology into the work of Kansas State University, working closely with university leadership and the university community to shape and implement information technology investments, plans and strategies aligned with institutional goals and customer needs. This includes facilitating and coordinating university information technology strategic planning, prioritization, and governance and working collaboratively to develop and deploy new services and technologies.
The interim CIO search committee invites letters of nomination or applications — letter of interest, resume and contact information for at least three references — to be submitted as soon as possible. This position is open to current employees of Kansas State University. The application deadline is Monday, March 7, with interviews likely to take place after spring break.
It is expected that the successful candidate will begin the position on March 28. Application for the position of or appointment as interim CIO will not preclude an individual from consideration for the permanent position. A national search will be conducted for permanent leadership with more details to follow.
