A letter from V.P. for Human Capital Cheryl Johnson: Total rewards study update
Dear K-Staters,
As an update on the total rewards study, we presented the big picture findings of the study to the university at six open forums at the end of March. Before the open forums, we also met with groups such as the Professional Staff Affairs Committee, USS Senate, and leadership of BFSA, Alianza, LGBTQ and Indigenous Affinity groups.
We continue to work with deans, department heads, budget officers and other leadership to complete post-analysis of the 3,402 unclassified and university support staff positions in the study. Thank you for your participation in this process as 82 percent of you gave your voice in the job analysis questionnaire, or JAQ, process.
A Total Rewards Advisory Council, or TRAC, will commence in early May. The council will advise in matters related to total rewards communications pertaining to the unclassified professionals and university support services staff. The council is comprised of several employees from Manhattan, Olathe and the Polytechnic campuses.
Further, compensation information will be shared with your supervisor prior to releasing the information to employees on Sept. 30.
Thank you for your cooperation as we continue this journey.
Cheryl Johnson
Vice president for human capital services
