K-State Alumni Association seeks designers for competition
The K-State Alumni Association is holding a campuswide design competition open to all current faculty, staff and students.
For the competition, designers will be asked to design a stained-glass mosaic that will be permanently displayed on the main floor of the K-State Alumni Center. The mosaic, funded through the generous support of K-State alumni Gib '80 and Brenda '77 Compton of Wichita, will include classic K-State icons to showcase the tradition and history of the university.
To compete, students, faculty and staff must submit an online application by April 22. Find additional information and an application packet online.
Following the application submission, a rendered design must then be submitted by Sept. 1. Applicants will provide only the artistic design and will not construct the mosaic. Design submissions will be judged, and the top three finalists will receive a monetary reward of $1,000 with the winner receiving an additional $1,500, for a $2,500 grand prize total.
Hurry, get your application in today and use your creative talent to help us showcase K-State's history.
