Workshop on pronouncing Chinese names scheduled for May 4

Submitted by Max Lu

In January, the Confucius Institute hosted this workshop four times, all fully attended. The institute is offering this workshop again at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, in 209 K-State Student Union. The workshop will cover the basics of Chinese naming convention and offer easy-to-follow, practical tips on Chinese name pronunciation.

This workshop will be beneficial if you are reading graduates' names at the spring commencement ceremonies and want to make sure you pronounce Chinese names correctly.

The workshop is free and open to everyone, but please RSVP to Junye Liu at junyeliu@k-state.edu or 785-532-3680. Coffee and cookies will be provided.
