Changes for faculty utilizing the Student Access Center Testing Center

Submitted by April Penick

In the past, students with testing accommodations taking exams at the Testing Center were required to provide faculty not only a letter of accommodation but also a test request form. The test request form has been the primary mode of communication between faculty and the Testing Center for many years. This process is changing as of June 1.

The new process allows faculty to enter testing information directly into KSIS, thus eliminating the need for the test request form. Students will still present faculty with a letter of accommodation. In the letter, there will be instructions as to how to enter test information in KSIS. The new process will help expedite the administration process between faculty and the Testing Center.

Features include:
• The ability to enter exam information for multiple students.
• Exam information for a course is entered once per semester.
• The ability to review test information entered.

A step-by-step guide has been developed to assist faculty.

Please note: Faculty should enter exam information only after a student has presented a letter of accommodation. Please contact the Student Access Center with any questions or concerns at 785-532-6441 or accesscenter@k-state.edu.
