Help the K-State Book Network explore 'Spare Parts' during 2016-2017
Have you already read the 2016 common reading selection "Spare Parts"? Do you have expertise that you would like to share with the K-State and Manhattan community?
The K-State Book Network, or KSBN, is assembling a roster of faculty, staff and students who would like to present at a monthly lecture series during the 2016-2017 academic year.
"Spare Parts: A Public Lecture Series" will draw upon the collective knowledge of the campus community to help everyone understand more the issues raised in Joshua Davis' book.
Possible lecture topics include, but are not limited to: the American Dream, immigration, race, ethnicity, gender, family, first-generation scholars, education, science, the military, creativity, entrepreneurship and leadership.
If you are interested in volunteering, please visit the online survey to provide your name, the title of your presentation and a 50-word description of its format and content. Proposals for individual and panel presentations welcome.
For priority consideration, submit your information by July 20.
