Call for presentations for Women Managing the Farm Conference
Submitted by Debbie Hagenmaier
"Her AgriCULTURE Story – Change, Adapt, Grow" is the theme for the 2017 Women Managing the Farm Conference on Feb. 9-10 in Manhattan. The conference planning committee is currently accepting proposals for breakout session presentations at the conference.
Proposals should address one or more of the USDA Risk Management Association's risk categories: Development, financial, human/personal, institutional — includes legal, price/market and production. Proposals also can address other non-RMA risk areas such as community advocacy and retail agriculture.
Proposals for 20- or 50-minute conference presentations or pre-conference workshops on Feb. 8 will be considered. The submission deadline is Sept. 1.
The Women Managing the Farm Conference is sponsored by K-State Research and Extension and public and private sector partners from across the state. The two-day conference targets women who are actively involved on the farm as well as those engaged in agribusiness.
