CADS, Coffee and Copyright: Secure, shape and share your rights

The Center for the Advancement of Digital Scholarship, or CADS, wants to know:
- Have you already published or are you looking to publish in an academic journal?
- Do you want to reproduce chapters or sections of your dissertation or thesis in a journal article?
- Are you currently using images, graphs and content from other works in your dissertation, thesis or report?
If so, it's time to sit down and discuss your author rights.
Join CADS for coffee and tea from 2-3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, in 118 Hale Library. We'll discuss how you can effectively protect and use your copyrighted scholarly works.
Our conversation will focus on protecting the content and research in your dissertations, theses and master reports, as well as your scholarly publications. Learn how you can protect and control your intellectual property in your dissertations, theses and master reports; what rights you can retain as an author when signing publisher agreements; and how you can reuse others' works sensibly and effectively in your own works.
This event is presented in partnership with the Graduate Student Council Professional Development Committee.
