Call for proposals for Sustainability Engagement Series: Sustainable Campus
Partnering with K-State's Office of Sustainability, this graduate student-chaired seminar series focuses on topics of sustainability. The aim of the sustainability series is to raise awareness of sustainability issues, highlight initiatives and research efforts active on campus, and create the opportunity for engagement and student experience. Three separate seminars events will be hosted.
Event 1: Sustainable Campus will be from 3-5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, in the Leadership Studies Building's Town Hall. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Oct. 14.
The topic Sustainable Campus will encompass any research projects, sustainability initiatives, informational sessions, engagement practices and strategies, or curriculum related to sustainability that is focused on campus sustainability.
Speakers will have eight minutes to present and will participate in a panel discussion following presentations. The purpose of the panel discussion is to generate ideas of how people can get involved in sustainability on campus.
To submit a proposal, please provide:
1. Presenters' name and contact information.
2. Type of presentation.
3. Description of your presentation — no more than one page.
4. Short bio about each presenter through a Qualtrics survey.
