New insurance vendor Colonial Life offering voluntary insurance options

The Kansas State Health Care Commission has approved a new vendor, Colonial Life, for plan year 2017.
New for the 2017 open enrollment, employees will have the opportunity to fill gaps and protect themselves and their families through individual voluntary products including accident, cancer, critical illness and hospital confinement coverage. An employee does not have to participate in the state's health plan to take advantage of these new offerings.
Benefit counselors will be available Oct. 26-28 for more information:
- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, in 205 K-State Student Union.
- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, in 208 K-State Student Union.
- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, in 208 K-State Student Union.
Employees also may sign up for a one-on-one session to learn more.
