Political science faculty present at annual International Studies Association meetings

Several faculty members from the department of political science have presented at the annual meetings of the International Studies Association, which began Sunday and concludes Wednesday in San Diego.
Amanda Murdie, assistant professor, participated in two by invitation only workshops titled “NGO's by the Numbers: Innovations in Data Collection and Methods of Analysis” and “The New Power Politics: Networks, Governance and Global Security.”
Murdie also presented a paper titled “From Talibanism to NGOism: NGO Operations and
Collaboration in Post-Conflict Afghanistan.”
Jeffrey Pickering, professor and department head, and Emizet Kisangani, professor, presented a paper titled, “External Military Intervention and Late State Building.”
