Open enrollment ends today
Submitted by Human Capital Services - Benefits
Open enrollment for the State Employee Health Plan closes Oct. 31. Health insurance plans have changed for 2017 coverage. It is important that you take a few minutes to verify your coverage and take note of the plan design changes as well as changes in health premiums for 2017.
Now is the time to make changes to your health plan, enroll in FSA, apply for HealthyKids, select your HSA contribution amount — if you desire to contribute more than the $600 per year minimum — and verify your coverage and dependents for 2017. All employees are highly encouraged to log into the Member Portal and change or verify their elections for 2017. No changes or elections may be made after Oct. 31.
Elections and changes made during the open enrollment period become effective Jan. 1, 2017.
To enroll and verify your 2017 health insurance:
Log into HRIS as you do to review your paycheck and choose Employee Self Service. Navigate to the Benefits section and select Health Insurance Enrollment. You may need to re-enter your eID and password.
If you are adding a dependent:
- Choose "Add Family Member" in the Member and Family tab.
- Enter the dependent's information.
- Upload the supporting documentation required for proof of dependency.
Select the Enrollments and Events tab then choose "Launch Enrollment." Follow the prompts to make your selections for 2017 coverage. Save your confirmation of enrollment from the State Employee Health Plan. You are provided this document after your enrollment. Should you have any issues in 2017 with your coverage, this confirmation will allow you to have proof of your elections. Log out of the Member Portal.
