K-State Theatre performs 'Bug' live in Purple Masque Theatre

Submitted by Kim Belanger

Performing on the K-State Theatre second stage is "Bug," a thriller by Tracy Letts, directed by Chase Rossman.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, through Saturday, Nov. 12; and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, in West Stadium's Purple Masque Theatre.

Set in a seedy Oklahoma City motel room, the play centers on a divorced waitress with a fondness for cocaine and isolation and a soft-spoken Gulf War drifter. Their fears surrounding an abusive ex-husband, secretive army experiments and a hidden bug infestation escalate to paranoia and conspiracy theories in this psychological thriller.

Tickets are $5.50 for students; $7.50 for seniors, military, faculty and staff; and $9 for the general public. They can be purchased on the online K-State Theatre and Dance Box Office, by phone at 785-236-8638, or one hour prior to showtime at the Purple Masque Theatre.

All tickets, regardless of purchase method, are free from convenience fees and sales tax is included.
