Deadline extended for two Commerce Bank Presidential awards
The Kansas State University Commerce Bank Faculty/Staff and Student award deadline has been extended to 5 p.m. Nov. 18.
The Commerce Bank Presidential Faculty/Staff Award for Distinguished Services to Historically Under-Represented Minority Students was established in 1978 to recognize outstanding individual contributions of Kansas State University faculty/staff in the development of quality education for students of color at K-State. Kansas State University faculty and staff members who are eligible for this award can only be nominated by K-State faculty, students, staff or administrators. The Commerce Bank Presidential Student Award for Distinguished Services in Enhancing Multiculturalism at Kansas State University was established in the spring of 1997 to recognize outstanding individual contributions to diversity enhancement within the student sector. Kansas State University students who are eligible for this award can apply directly or be nominated by other university students, faculty, staff or administrators. Past recipients of the awards include many notable K-Staters. Awardees are honored during the university's annual Martin Luther King Jr. Observance Week and receive a plaque and a cash award.
