K-State theatre professor to discuss how artists communicate climate change
Jennifer Vellenga, associate professor and associate director of theatre in K-State's School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, will give a public lecture at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, in 328 Waters Hall. Vellenga will discuss the role of and opportunities for artists to engage and inform the public on climate and climate change issues in ways not possible by scientists.
This talk is presented for students participating in the capstone course of the natural resources and environmental science secondary major and is open to the general public as part of the NRES Seminar Series. Undergraduate students interested in natural resources, environmental science and sustainability issues are especially encouraged to attend.
