Wesch to give final Provost's Lecture April 20
For the final event in this year’s Provost’s Lecture Series, Michael Wesch, associate professor of cultural anthropology and 2011-2012 Coffman Chair for Distinguished Teaching Scholars, will be the featured speaker. He will present a lecture titled "Ed Parkour: Learning Around, Over and Beyond the Walls" at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Hemisphere Room of Hale Library.
An abstract of the presentation by Wesch is attached; the abstract and a short biography of Wesch also are available on the provost’s home page. We hope that your schedule will permit you to join us for this program. We encourage you to share information about the lecture with your students and invite them to attend as well.
If you are unable to attend, you can view the presentation via DVDs checked out from Hale Library. The discs will be available from the reserve desk on the second floor of Hale Library. The lecture also will be cablecast on Cox Cable channel 8 on Wednesday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, April 26, at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.; Friday, April 27, at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.; and Saturday, April 28, at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The presentation will also be available on K-StateHD.TV.
