Legislative update
The Kansas Legislature is starting week four of the 2017 legislative veto session. Items to be addressed in the veto session will be the budget for fiscal years 2018 and 2019; revenue package to fund state government expenditures; and a new K-12 school finance formula.
The Legislature will mark the 100th day on Wednesday, May 24. The expectation is the Legislature will meet past this deadline to complete the work of the 2017 session.

The Office of Governmental Relations will host Kansas Legislative Review Sessions throughout the 2017 Legislative session. Sessions will be added during the veto session. Dates and locations will be posted online. These sessions are open to the public and feel free to bring a brownbag lunch.
