Candidate presentations/open forums for Center for Advocacy, Response and Education advocate position
The Center for Advocacy, Response and Education will conduct interviews for one advocate position and will host the final the candidates on campus. The campus community is invited to be a part of the interview process.
The following candidates will give presentations:
- Anna Waugh, 3:15-3:45 p.m. Thursday, May 25, in 201 Leadership Studies Building.
- Dedra Petersen, 10:15-10:45 a.m. Monday, June 5, in 201 Leadership Studies Building.
- Madison Crist, 12:45-1:15 p.m. Monday, June 5, in 126 Leadership Studies Building.
The candidates will give a presentation based on the prompt "Important aspects of survivor-centered advocacy when working with underserved populations." Following the presentation, there will be time for questions from campus partners.
The advocate will serve as a confidential source for students, faculty and staff who have been affected by sexual violence, dating/domestic violence, sexual harassment and stalking. Additionally, the advocate will present campaigns and educational programs to the K-State community. The position is funded by the Victims of Crime Act.
