'Attendance Guidelines for University Support Staff' session for supervisors offered June 22
Submitted by Human Capital Services-Learning and Development
"Attendance Guidelines for University Support Staff, WTD187," will be offered from 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 22, in Room 4061 of the Business Administration Building.
An employee's work attendance has a direct effect on a unit's ability to provide intended services in support of the mission of the university. Misuse of privileges, excessive leave use, unexcused absences or a pattern of failure to report for or remain at work may be grounds for positive disciplinary action. Supervisors will learn how to address attendance challenges before they become a problem.
As a result of this session, participants will:
- Understand and apply university guidelines regarding university support staff attendance.
- Conduct effective conversations with employees about leave issues.
- Learn how to interpret leave statistics reports when addressing attendance issues.
This course is offered in conjunction with the Introduction to Supervision, WTD077, series. Seating is limited.
To register for this session, you can either sign up through HRIS self-service or send an email to Samantha Roberts at learning-develop-hr@k-state.edu. When sending an email, please include your name, employee ID and the course title.
