Pentz elected to National Dance Educators advisory board of directors for three-year term
Julie L. Pentz, associate professor and associate director of dance in the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, began serving a three-year term in November as director of student initiatives for the National Dance Educators Organization.
Pentz will assist in developing policy in relation to student members, services and programs, and will mentor the collegiate undergraduate and graduate student representatives. Pentz will be the editor for a biyearly newsletter for the organization's student population, advocate for the building of new and strengthening of existing student chapters in postsecondary education, and will be the leader in the undergraduate and graduate level conference scholarships.
Pentz also will work directly with the organization's conference planner, board and staff to develop targeted tracks for students at the National Dance Educators Organization national conference.
