Geography faculty candidate to present environmental hazards and social institutions
Katherine Nelson, doctoral candidate in the civil and environmental engineering department at Vanderbilt University, will give a public lecture at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4, in Town Hall at the Leadership Studies Building. The title of the presentation is "Evaluation of the impacts of environmental hazards and social institutions on socio-environmental systems: An example from the California drought."
Nelson is a candidate for the nature society faculty position in the geography department.
The presentation is sponsored by the Beta Psi Chapter of Gamma Theta Upsilon, the international geographic honor society, and the geography department.
