Submitted by College of Human Ecology
The hospitality management department announces the hiring of Holly Pishney as the new Lacy's Fresh Fare Catering lab coordinator and instructor.
Pishney, a K-State graduate, most recently worked for Colbert Hills as the food and beverage manager. She also brings 16 years of experience in food service from the Derby Dining Complex at K-State.
"Holly's experience in food service and working with students will make her a great asset to the department to serve as the coordinator for Lacy's," said Kevin Roberts, assistant professor of hospitality management and search committee chair. "She will provide leadership to our students while they gain hands-on experience working in a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen. We are excited to bring her experience and ideas to the department."
Lacy's Fresh Fare and Catering will provide a new lunch option to students on campus beginning in the spring semester. While final details are still in process, students can expect fresh soups, salad and sandwich options. Lacy's also will be able to provide catering services in the future.
