Organization recognizes senior engineering student from Hutchinson with national scholarship

Academic excellence has earned a Kansas State University engineering student a national scholarship from the Material Handling Education Foundation.
Jordan Bever, Hutchinson, received the foundation's Conveyor and Sortation Systems Honor Scholarship. She is one of 28 students nationwide to receive an award from the foundation. The scholarship recognizes superior academic achievements.
Bever, a senior, is in the department of industrial and manufacturing systems engineering's concurrent bachelor's and master's program. She is the department's 32nd student to receive an award from the Material Handling Education Foundation.
A K-State honors list student, Bever received the Lynn Bussey Memorial Graduate Award and scholarship from the department of industrial and manufacturing systems engineering in April. She is a 2008 graduate of Hutchinson High School and the daughter of Jim and Janet Bever.
The Material Handling Education Foundation Inc. is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging and supporting material handling education. Since its establishment in 1976, the foundation has awarded more than $2 million in awards to graduate and undergraduate students, as well as to academicians and their institutions.
