Morcos delivers speech at annual Garmin convention

Medhat M. Morcos, professor of electrical and computer engineering was invited to deliver an inspirational speech at the annual convention of Garmin Corporation in Overland Park on June 1.
The convention was attended by 1,500 employees, including electrical engineers, computer engineers, mechanical engineers, technicians, computer scientists, photographers, finance personnel, human resources, public relations and interns. A scholarship of $1,500 was awarded in Morcos' name to one of the 68 interns.
Morcos is professor and university distinguished teaching scholar. He said it is very uncommon to have a speaker from academia to give a speech at a corporation meeting.
