Agronomy professors attend international soils meeting in South Korea
Chuck Rice, university distinguished professor of agronomy, and Mary Beth Kirkham, professor of agronomy, attended the International Union of Soil Sciences Council meetings in Jeju, South Korea on June 3-8. Rice is chair of the union's Division 4, The Role of Soils in Sustaining Society and the Environment. Kirkham also attended the council meetings as chair of the Committee on Awards and Prizes.
Rice presented at the Korea Soil Science Society and Fertilizer Symposium "Soil for All." The tile of the invited presentation was "Putting Soil Science to the Test: Achieving Sustainability in the Face of Climate Change and Food Security."
