Thurston presents at National Science Foundation's annual meeting
Linda P. Thurston, assistant dean and professor in the College of Education, recently made several presentations and conducted a workshop for the National Science Foundation's joint annual meeting.
Thurston, who returned to the university in December 2011 from a rotation of more than two years with the National Science Foundation, presented to principal investigators, project staff and National Science Foundaton staff on issues related to evaluation.
The meeting, "Broadening Participation Research," is conducted annually in Washington, D.C., for project leaders and staff of awards within the Division of Human Resource Development. The division includes ADVANCE, Research in Disabilities Education, Research on Gender in Science and Engineering, HBCU-UP, LSAMP, and Tribal Colleges and Universities Program. Thurston worked with the group on evaluation of National Science Foundaton awards.
