Architectural engineering faculty support professional engineering licensure exam
Three K-State architectural engineering faculty members were among a group of 16 professional engineers from across the country who volunteered at the Architectural Engineering Professional Engineering Exam Committee Workshop in Kansas City, June 14-15.
Ray Yunk, associate professor, and Don Phillippi and Russ Murdock, assistant professors, helped to develop, review and approve more than 50 new exam questions, update dozens of existing questions to be consistent with current building codes and standards, pretest the 2013 exam and assemble the 2014 exam.
The exam is administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing professional licensure for engineers and surveyors.
