Seniors in architectural engineering awarded regional scholarships
Katherine Benton and Larissa Eshelman, Kansas State University seniors in architectural engineering, have been selected to receive regional scholarships from the Wichita Chapter of the Structural Engineering Association of Kansas and Missouri.
Each will be awarded a $500 scholarship in recognition of outstanding scholastic and leadership abilities, character and potential service to the structural engineering profession.
The vision of the Structural Engineering Association of Kansas and Missouri is to hold paramount the safety, health and welfare of the public with respect to the design, analysis, construction and inspection of structures. The mission of the organization is to improve the practice of structural engineering.
Collectively Structural Engineering Association of Kansas and Missouri, in conjunction with its parent organization, the National Council of Structural Engineers Association, has a greater ability to influence the development of codes, adoption of public policies, requirements for continuing education and many other issues important to the profession.
