Blue Key Senior Honorary announces spring awards
Submitted by Communications and Marketing
Kansas State University's provost, an administrative staff member at the Staley School of Leadership Studies and a university alumnus are recipients of spring honors from Blue Key Senior Honorary.
The award winners, who will be recognized at Blue Key's annual banquet in late April, were selected for emulating the honorary's motto of "Serving, I Live." The awardees also have shown exceptional dedication to the three pillars of Blue Key: scholarship, leadership and service.
April Mason, university provost and senior vice president, and Lori LaVezzi, office specialist III at the university's School of Leadership Studies, are being recognized as honorary members of Blue Key. Katie Niederee, a December 2010 bachelor's graduate in mass communications, is being recognized with Blue Key's Rich Mistler Alumni Excellence Award. Niederee, originally from Great Bend, currently serves as press secretary for the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance in Washington, D.C.
