5K on April 28 with free Olive Garden pasta bar

Submitted by Megan Katt

The WellCAT Ambassadors' second Run Fasta Eat Pasta 5K is coming up on April 28. This family-friendly run/walk begins and ends on Lafene Health Center's front lawn with a beautiful route through campus. This event will be professionally chip-timed for competitive runners, but we also encourage more casual walkers. The race begins at 11 a.m.

Olive Garden will cater a free pasta bar — spaghetti, fettuccine, salad and bread sticks — for registrants to enjoy after the race.

This event will benefit K-State's food pantry, Cats' Cupboard, and all participants are encouraged to bring one or more nonperishable donations for the pantry.

Pasta and T-shirts can only be guaranteed for the first 125 registrants, so we encourage you to sign up in the next couple of days. Bring your kiddos and families — this will be a fun day!

Registration is available online. The $15 registration fee includes race, T-shirt and pasta. Children under the age of 7 do not need to register, but will not get a race shirt.

Volunteer opportunities also are available. If you or someone you know would like to volunteer for this event, please email abdillon@k-state.edu. Volunteers will receive a free race shirt and pasta bar.
