Submitted by Milea Anderson

Hilary Haddigan, chief of mission effectiveness for Heifer International, will present "Mission to Zero" to address livestock issues for the 16th installment of the Upson Lecture Series at 6 p.m. Monday, April 23, in McCain Auditorium at Kansas State University in Manhattan.

Haddigan will discuss how livestock is a solution to not only addressing the living income challenges faced by small-holder farmers in the developing world, but also how supporting farmers in this effort is required to feed the growing population.

Through her position, Haddigan leads Heifer's development toward a results-based and data-driven organization. Her work includes putting data central in Heifer's strategy and performance framework that establishes a rigorous evidence based to bring public visibility to Heifer's accomplishments.
