Blue Key Senior Honorary selects scholarship recipients

Kansas State University's Blue Key Senior Honorary has named recipients of Blue Key scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year.
All scholarship recipients underwent a rigorous and competitive application and interview process. Awardees were selected for demonstrating a clear dedication to the three pillars of Blue Key: scholarship, leadership and service.
The following students were honored at an April 15 reception as Blue Key scholarship recipients:
Connor Davis, junior in social sciences, Ellsworth, Walter Martin Memorial Scholarship.
From Greater Kansas City: Sophie Craig, freshman in biology, Robert Lewis Sophomore Leadership Award, and Alexa Wilden, junior in microbiology and pre-medicine, Neal Atkinson Junior Leadership Scholarship, both from Gardner; Madeline Ames, sophomore in political science and philosophy, Olathe, Roy C. Langford Memorial Scholarship; Nicole Becker, sophomore in industrial and manufacturing systems engineering, Blue Key Study Abroad Scholarship, and Ali Karamali, freshman in chemical engineering, Robert Lewis Sophomore Leadership Award, both from Overland Park; Avery Bolar, sophomore in finance, Prairie Village, Chester E. Peters Student Development Award; and Ariana Coker,freshman in life sciences, gerontology and pre-medicine, Robert Lewis Sophomore Leadership Award, and Maridee Weber, junior in food science, natural resources and environmental sciences, and global food systems leadership, Blue Key Study Abroad Scholarship, both from Shawnee.

Peters Student Development Award; Julissa Andazola, junior in life sciences and pre-dentistry, Ingalls, Bernard Franklin Opportunity Scholarship; Antonio Carter, junior in mechanical engineering, Junction City, Bernard Franklin Opportunity Scholarship; Jordan Disberger, junior in electrical engineering, Manhattan, Neal Atkinson Junior Leadership Scholarship; Delaney Taylor, sophomore in elementary and special education, Paola, Roy C. Langford Memorial Scholarship; Michelle Anderson, sophomore in accounting and finance, Neal Atkinson Junior Leadership Scholarship, and Thomas Meek, sophomore in personal financial planning, Roy C. Langford Memorial Scholarship, both from Topeka; Trey Schmidt, a sophomore in computer engineering, Wamego, Neal Atkinson Junior Leadership Scholarship.
From Wichita: Kennedy Hackerott, sophomore in anthropology, Chester E. Peters Student Development Award; Luke Hesse, sophomore in economics and pre-medicine, Chester E. Peters Student Development Award; and Kylee Mernagh, sophomore in architecture, Neal Atkinson Junior Leadership Scholarship.
