Ronnie Sullivan presents 'Peace Corps Paraguay: Lessons on Poverty, Community Development and Governance'
Join K-Staters over the lunch hour on Monday, April 30, to learn about life in Peace Corps Paraguay from a K-State alumnus, Ronnie Sullivan. The presentation will be in 171 Berney Family Welcome Center.
Sullivan will be visiting on a short break from his ongoing Peace Corps service in Paraguay. He will present stories from life in Paraguay where he is working with community members to increase financial management skills, establish a public library, improve the organization of the new local Boy/Girl Scouts, improve trash management practices and environmental education and more.
Sullivan graduated from K-State summa cum laude with a degree in international agribusiness and minors in Spanish and nonprofit leadership studies. He is excited to return to K-State for a short visit to share lessons from his 14 months in Paraguay on community engagement, inequality, development, and the importance of good governance.
