Reminder: Lafene Health Center to offer Quick Care to faculty and staff
Beginning Monday, July 9, Lafene Health Center will introduce Lafene Quick Care services for current K-State faculty and staff. Provider visits and other services are by appointment only. This outreach to faculty and staff will primarily focus on the treatment and care of minor health conditions, pharmacy services and laboratory services. The center also is in-network for the State of Kansas Health Insurance.
Common health conditions that the center can help with:
- Coughs, colds, sinus and ear discomfort
- Pink eye
- Minor cuts, bruises and abrasions
- Urinary tract infections
- Sexually transmitted infections
- Bug bites, stings and domestic animal bites
- Acute sprains and strains
- Laboratory and pharmacy services — based on your primary care provider's order
Unfortunately, the center cannot provide assessment, care, or treatment of injuries that have occurred at work or in any way relate to workers compensation. If you have a work related injury, please consult with your on-campus supervisor or Human Capital Services for next steps. Additionally, Lafene Health Center is not in-network for Medicaid or Medicare and will not file insurance claims to those entities. If you have Medicaid or Medicare as an insurance carrier, please contact your primary care provider about available health care options. Lafene Health Center is committed to working with its patients' primary care providers to deliver exceptional continuity of care.
