Edward Nowlin, associate professor of marketing, recently presented at the AMS World Marketing Congress in Porto, Portugal. Nowlin's presentation was titled "How Workplace Isolation Impacts Salesperson Performance: The Mediating Role of Knowledge, Informal Communication, and Commitment."
Esther Swilley, associate professor and chair of the marketing department, also presented at the conference. Her presentation was "Investigating the Tech-Savvy Consumer."
The four-day conference had more than 1,000 participants from more than 67 countries. The Universidade Luisada-Norte hosted the conference.
The aim of the conference was to explore new and innovative ways to find new global customers, understand their wants and needs, and build meaningful bridges to them. According to Nowlin, the conference definitely met those expectations.
