Office of International Programs accepting nominations for 2018 International Educator of the Year award
The Office of International Programs is accepting nominations for the 2018 International Educator of the Year award. Nominations are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28.
The International Educator of the Year award reception on Thursday, Nov. 15, is a big part of K-State's International Education Week, which is celebrated with events occurring mid-November.
"Our international award program began in 2003 and it continues to be a great opportunity to elevate the level of international awareness on our campus," said Marcellus Caldas, assistant provost for international faculty collaborations and educational programs. "There are so many K-State faculty and staff committed to making sure our campus has many opportunities to provide global education and exchange."
This award allows visibility for an individual or department to recognize someone making significant contributions to advancing international education on our campus. Faculty, staff, administrators or other members of the K-State community may be nominated for their major contributions and sustained efforts to internationalize our campus.
The honoree will be presented with a $1,000 award and a plaque at the International Educator of the Year award reception on Thursday, Nov. 15.
